Opportunity

We are seeking a curious, passionate and analytical Data Science Intern to join our Data Science team in London, Oxford or Berlin. You'll contribute to high-impact projects while developing professional skills that will set your career trajectory. 

What you'll do

• Support our international project teams with rigorous and innovative data science solutions
• Work with large and often ambiguous datasets to extract concrete insights and recommendations.
• Create compelling interactive visualisations and web applications that communicate complex findings clearly and make our insights accessible to non-technical stakeholders
• Collaborate with international and interdisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality client outcomes, including presentations, reports and knowledge articles
• Communicate to our clients and teams how your work can help solve their most pressing issues

What you'll bring

• You are an academically strong undergraduate or graduate student in a quantitative field (this will often be computer science, mathematics, or data science, but we are quite open to other fields as well)
• Proficiency in statistical languages, such as R, or an interest in learning them, is a plus. Ideally, you would also have some first experiences in cloud infrastructures and SQL (or openness to learn this). We also value experience in software engineering and web application development.
• Passion for diving into complex problems with data-driven approaches, combining rigor, tenacity and creativity to explore every angle while remaining pragmatic if the situation demands
• Comfort with “messy” real-world problems and sometimes ambiguous stakeholder settings

• An interest in working on complex economic, regulatory and legal issues. We highly value a general sense of curiosity in our multidisciplinary environment

• Excellent communication skills – able to translate technical concepts for non-technical audiences

Contract Details

This is a fixed-term internship opportunity with potential for outstanding performers to be considered for permanent roles. The minimum contract duration is 3 months up to 12 months.
